I work for a multi national company based in Chicago. I manage their branch in Scranton. Our office in Scranton is not very large and I have about 15 employees who report to me. We are mainly a marketing arm of the main company. I enjoy my job and the people who work with me are great. They are efficient, hard working and resourceful. We have been voted the most efficient branch of our company quite a few times. Employee morale is my top priority and I try my best to make the workplace a happy environment.
We have regular get togethers with the employees and their families. We have picnics and barbecues and everybody gets along with one another very well and has a great time. I am constantly thinking of new ways to improve the workplace. Recently I had an opportunity to visit our branch in Rome, Wisconsin for a company seminar. While I was there I noticed that they had baskets of fresh fruits in their cafeteria.
The manager informed me that they have fruit baskets delivered to their workplace regularly by Hi5 Produce. They had started this to encourage healthy eating among the employees. It seemed like a great idea. I got the number of Dan and Denise who are the owners of Hi5Produce and gave them a call when I got back to Scranton.
